My Areas of Focus
I support emotionally overwhelmed, high-functioning adults with ADHD or anxiety who have spent years masking, overthinking, people pleasing, or trying to earn their worth through achievement and perfectionism. You’re the person everyone relies on — but internally you feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, and never quite ‘good enough.’ Maybe you were diagnosed with ADHD later in life, or maybe you’ve spent years masking, overthinking, people-pleasing, and pushing yourself toward impossible standards. You want to show up for yourself and others, yet expectations feel unmanageable and conflict keeps surfacing. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck and disconnected from your true self, doubting your abilities while sensing there’s more within you. Our sessions together are a safe space to feel heard and supported while exploring your challenges. We will work collaboratively to explore your experiences and values, identifying your strengths to begin developing the necessary skills to flourish and create meaningful, fulfilling, sustainable change in your life.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies. I create a nonjudgmental space to explore difficult emotions, understand patterns beneath overwhelm, self-criticism, burnout, and relationship stress, while building practical tools for emotional regulation, boundaries, and lasting change. My approach blends different therapeutic styles (see below) but it's always centered on you, your values, your goals, and at a pace that feels right for you.
Whether you're grappling with perfectionism, low self-esteem, difficulties with motivation, anxiety, mood disorders, or challenges in relationships, we will explore the root causes and work toward meaningful change.
I provide positive encouragement by identifying and utilizing the strengths we sometimes don’t realize we already possess. With a deeper understanding of our foundations, I believe we can use this knowledge to begin developing the skills necessary to flourish and feel reconnected with our true selves.
Change starts here, together.
My Approach
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Many clients struggling with perfectionism and low self-esteem experience a lack of motivation due to fear of failure or overwhelm. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is a highly effective, evidence-based approach focused on connecting the dots between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. You can learn to identify and challenge the negative thought patterns and self criticism that contribute to these issues, empowering you to develop healthier ways of coping and responding to life’s challenges. You may learn to challenge the belief that you need to be perfect to be valued, helping you develop a healthier approach to mistakes and self-acceptance. We can explore your strengths and abilities to address concerns of self worth, expectations, emotional regulation, motivation, and breaking down overwhelming tasks into manageable steps. You spend all day in your brain, lets make it a comfortable place to exist.
Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Dialectic behaviour therapy is a form of CBT in which we work through managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and skills training for stress management. These skills focus on mindfulness (staying present in the moment), distress tolerance (managing and de-escalating crises), emotional regulation (understanding and reducing emotional intensity), and interpersonal effectiveness (building stronger relationships with healthy boundaries). In therapy we can break down tasks into achievable steps, set realistic goals, and explore the emotional drivers behind procrastination. We utilize CBT techniques to challenge negative thoughts about your abilities and DBT skills to manage the discomfort that may arise when taking action.
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
I work collaboratively with you to navigate difficult relationship dynamics and facilitate a deeper understanding of the impact of family functioning, interpersonal patterns, such as codependency, low self esteem, and perfectionism, and to develop healthier ways to communicate and connect with others. Understanding these patterns can provide clarity and insight, offering a foundation for building healthier, more secure relationships and fostering greater self-compassion. Together we can help you to enhance your social support so you can begin to feel more grounded and confident in your relationships, reducing feelings of isolation and self doubt.
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotion Focused Therapy can help you gain better recognition and understanding of your emotions, and heal the emotional patterns that have shaped and influenced the way you see yourself and relate to others. By focusing on core emotions and attachment needs, we can work towards creating a deeper sense of self-knowing and self-acceptance, allowing you to experience more authentic connections. Our work together can help uncover the emotional roots of self criticism and the fear of failure, offering a compassionate space to build self-worth from within. You can learn to respond to yourself and others with empathy, clarity, and confidence, building a long lasting secure foundation for emotional well-being.
In my work I emphasize the importance of self compassion; encouraging you to accept yourself as you are while striving for meaningful change. Ultimately, the goal of therapy is to help you cultivate a balanced sense of self-worth, improve your emotional regulation, develop healthier interpersonal dynamics, and increase your motivation and capacity to take action toward your goals. By addressing the root causes of these struggles, we can work toward lasting transformation and a more fulfilling life.
If you're ready to explore your challenges and begin the journey of healing, I’m here to walk alongside you, providing support and guidance every step of the way.
